The Cortically Fixed At Once Approach CF@O Implant placement in severely atrophic jaws is especially challenging because of the poor quality and quantity of the future implant bed. Calvarial or iliac bone grafts, mental nerve displacement and sinus-lift procedures are often used to overcome the unfavourable anatomical and mechanical conditions.
Despite acceptable success rates these approaches involve unpredictable degrees of morbidity at the donor and/or recipient sites. Furthermore patients are sometimes reluctant to undergo such procedures.
The purpose of the presentation is to show the safety and efficacy of immediate loading fixed implant supported prosthesis without bone augmentation in moderately to severely resorbed, completely or partially edentulous maxilla and mandible. Dr Henry shows through case reports the specificity of the Cortically Fixed Titanium Hybrid Plates in addition with pterygoid implants which are the Principles of the Cortically Fixed at Once technique, CF@O.
