• In 1982, Dr. Gutmann was appointed tenured professor and chair of the Department of Endodontics at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, and later Professor and Director of the Endodontic Graduate Program in the Baylor Department of Restorative Sciences. • Dr. Gutmann is the editor of the Journal of the History of Dentistry. He was President of the American Association of Endodontists and President of the American Academy of Dental History. • He has presented over 800 lectures, articles and refresher courses. In addition, he is the author and co-author of over 375 articles in dental journals, textbooks. He is the senior author of a textbook on endodontics called «Problem Solving in Endodontics» and a senior co-author of Surgical Endodontics, Clinician’s Handbook of Endodontics.
