Margot was born in Windhoek, Namibia and finished school in the same city in 1994. She worked at a dental laboratory for a couple of years and decided that she wanted to move into the field of dental technology. She qualified in 2000 from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa with a BTech Dent Tech degree and worked in a private laboratory in Cape Town before moving back to Namibia where she worked in private laboratories for the next 14 years. In 2014 she made the decision to go into partnership with Warren McFarlane to start their own laboratory, Windhoek Dental Laboratory. Windhoek Dental is a full-service laboratory. Margot’s main focus within the laboratory is crown and bridge work with an emphasis on CAD/CAM technology. She is eager to stay up date with the latest technology and techniques in her field and regularly attends local and international conferences.
