OBJECTIVE :
After completing this lecture the participant should be able to diagnose the various types of oral mucosal lesions and their management.
Oral Cavity is home to multiple type of tissues. Mucosal diseases of oral cavity and jaws are relatively common and they represent as mucosal ulcer, or red, white or pigmented lesions. Mostly oral mucosal lesions are benign and rarely malignant. Early diagnosis will help in treatment of these lesions and prevent malignancy.

Dr. Vidhi Katira completed her B.D.S. from AECS Maaruti Dental College, Bangalore and MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology branch from Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College and Hospital, Visnagar, Gujarat. She has received the Best Paper Presentation in 14th. National Triple O Symposium, Meerut in March 2016, 14th National Conference Of Indian Association Of Forensic Odontology, Chandigarh in September 2016 and 28th National IAOMR Conference – Kanyakuamri in December 2016. Her peer reviewed research article name Age Estimation by Kvaal’s and Tooth Coronal Pulp Index by using OPG: A Comparative study. Page no. 171-176 in Journal of Research and Advancement in Dentistry is also published. She has attended and presented as anchor in many other clinical meets, CDEs conducted in her college and outside college, camps like oral cancer screening camps, and also participated in many other extra curricular activities. She has worked in private dental clinic for 2 years in Rajkot after completing my B.D.S.
