Renvert Stefan Dr., Sweden
Stefan Renvert is Professor and Research Director of Oral Health Sciences at Kristianstad University, Sweden. He also holds positions as Honorary Professor at Hong Kong University and Blekinge Institute of Technology, Karlskrona Sweden. Professor Renvert has been involved in the European Federation of Periodontology for many years. He was Scientific Chairman for Europerio 5 in Madrid 2006, Chairman of Europerio 6 in Stockholm 2009, Scientific Chairman for 2nd Masterclinic in Malta 2017 and Scientific Chair for the Masterclinic in Hong Kong 2019. He has been President of the EFP and during 2010-2016 he was Secretary General for the EFP. Professor Renvert has published over 200 papers in national and international journals. His research has since over two decades focused on diagnosis, risk factors and treatment of peri-implantitis and he has published more than 70 papers in this specific subject. Professor Renvert has lectured extensively all over the globe and have also published a book on peri-implantitis together with Dr. Jean Louis Giovannoli. Other areas of research are oral halitosis and the link between periodontitis and general health.
